This is Congressman Gerry Connolly. He represents Virginia State, where I reside. He is a very humble, sympathetic and kind politician but when it comes to the realities on the ground in the Middle East, he is far from realistic approach. He has a pro YPG (Syrian offshoot of PKK terrorist organization) approach and in this speech at Atlantic Council, he put too much emphasis on the role played by the YPG in fighting ISIS. When I raised concerns expressed by the Amnesty International and HRW surrounding YPG’s serious human rights violation record and ethnic cleansing allegations on the pretext of fighting ISIS, he related that to American pragmatism and lack of other choices.
ایشان کانگرسمن گری کونولی، یکی از نمایندگان مردم ایالت ویرجینیا – که من هم در آن ساکن هستم – می باشد. او سیاستمدار بسیار فروتن، مهربان و خونگرمی هستند ولی نگاه او به واقعیت های منطقه خاورمیانه غیرواقع بینانه است. او نگاه مثبتی به ی پ گ (شاخه سوری گروه تروریستی پ ک ک) دارد و در این سخنرانی در شورای آتلانتیک، تاکید زیادی بر نقش پ ی د در مبارزه با داعش داشت. وقتی من نگرانی های سازمان های حقوق بشری از جمله عفو بین الملل و دیدبان حقوق بشر در خصوص ادعاهای پاکسازی نژادی پ ی د به بهانه مبارزه با داعش را مطرح کردم او این را به عملگرایی سیاست خارجی امریکا و فقدان گزینه های دیگر ربط داد.
