به بی بی سی #BBC_News_فارسی گفتم مایک پومپئو سه هدف را در سفر به منطقه دنبال می کند: 1- مقابله با اقدامات مخرب ایران در منطقه، 2- بهره برداری از خطر ایران برای فروش تسلیحات بیشتر به کشورهای ثروتمند عربی و 3- تضمین حفظ برتری نظامی و استراتژیک اسرائیل در منطقه.
همچنین توضیح دادم دولت ترامپ به دنبال حمله نظامی و تغییر رژیم از نوع افغانستان و عراق نیست بلکه بیشتر به دنبال فروپاشی رژیم از نوع شوروی، یمن و ونزوئلا است و در راستای این فروپاشی، از اپوزیسیون راست افراطی (سلطنت طلبان) و چپ افراطی (مجاهدین خلق) حمایت می کند (و نه نیروهای دموکراسی خواه و پیشرو).

I told #BBC_Persian that #Mike_Pompeo's trip to the ME region has three major goals: 1- countering Iran's malicious activities, 2- using Iran's threats to sell more lucrative US weapons to the wealthy Arab nations and 3- guaranteeing continued Israel's military and strategic supremacy in the ME region.

I also explained that the Trump administration is not necessarily after a war and an Iraq and Afghanistan-style regime change in Iran but rather is actively seeking a regime collapse like Soviet, Venezuela, and Yemen and that is one reason why Washington is supporting far-right (monarchists) and far-left (Mojahedin-e Khalq) elements within Iranian opposition forces, (not the progressive pro-democracy forces.)
